Slice the cake part of the bars into thin (or fat) rectangles depending on
the width you want to give your bars.
Stack a few slices on top of each other and cut lengthwise again
the width you want.
Fold sides in to get
the width you want.
All it involves is increasing on each side of a project up to
the width you want, then back down on the other side until you get to the number of stitches you started with.
I couldn't find a single ribbon I liked for the dress that was
the width I wanted, so I stitched some Christmas plaid to a red satin ribbon.
so the board lengths are 4 feet long... and depending on what size boards you use — you can determine
the width you want.
