American Wild Shrimp Industry are having a little fun by organizing a Shrimp Showdown.

Also the vegan friendly black pepper tofu tacos, seasonal farmer's market salad,
wild shrimp tostada and the BCR burrito.

I would never use anything but
wild shrimp now after tasting the «other» stuff.
If you can find them - gulf shrimp or
other wild shrimp are sooooo much better than the commercially farm raised stuff.
Aside from the baby shrimp, I haven't been able to
find wild shrimp in our locale for ages.
Sammy's pasta selection include Brown Rice Penne Bolognese with Beef Tomato Sauce & Shaved Romano; and
Wild Shrimp Linguini with Carrot, Zucchini, Artichoke, Roasted Mushroom & White Wine Cream.

got wild shrimp at TJ's as well which I drizzled in oil, seasoned, and baked at 400F for 8 minutes.

Gourmet suggests that
American wild shrimp are fine, but the problem is the by - catch - it used to be up to ten pounds of unwanted sharks, sea turtles, flounder and other fish for every pound of shrimp were caught.
Gulf of Mexico shrimp will always have a big place in my heart, especially the heads on ones, but
wild shrimp from the Carolinas runs it a close second.
NOTE: Vote with your wallet and buy U.S. farmed or
wild shrimp, * not * imported, which is a bad environmental decision.
Wild shrimp are pricy, but I think the quality is worth it especially if it's not something you buy often.
