Orange County Animal Control will open its $ 1 million
facility next week and officials say the new
building will allow them to control the pet and
wildlife population more efficiently.
So most of the funding goes for things like buying land for nature preservation,
wildlife refuges, and to maintain open spaces, running outdoor nature education
facilities, protecting and enhancing the habitat of
wildlife and endangered species,
building and maintaining hiking trails and outdoor recreation spaces, as well as engaging in political activities.
