I'm not very good at math, so that percentage is my educated guess Anyways, the only way I can wear
skirts in the
winter is with over the knee boots, and they're perfect for the holidays when you need to
dress up but also want to stay warm and cozy —
or as close to warm and cozy as you can get in the Midwest!
Sometimes, I love them, sometimes I do not, but overall, I wish I could walk around showing off my bare legs, wearing a
skirt or dress in the heart of
winter.
Every
winter outfit I've blogged so far has featured either a
dress or skirt.
This is a great look for work
or play... take your favorite
winter time sweater (I personally love this gray v - neck one) and layer it over your favorite spring
skirt (mine obviously being this white skater
skirt — I am slightly obsessed with skater
skirts if you weren't aware:p) Personally, I feel that a v - neck sweater is flattering on just about everyone and can be
dressed up
or down depending on the occasion — paired with a skater
skirt (ideal for those who have #LegsForDays
or those who just enjoy not wearing pants... aka M E!) LOL!
Tights, a crinoline
or slip (crinolines do an awesome job of keeping you warm in the
winter), heavier weight
skirt or dress, cardigan
or sweater, and vintage
winter coat make up my usual cold weather attire, with heavy weight repro denim (I swear by my beloved Freddies of Pinewood jeans) for my causal days
or if I'm going to be walking though much snow.
Knee high boots like yours are work constantly out here with knee length
dresses and
skirts in the summer, and blue jeans
or leggings with a tunic top
or shirtdress in the fall /
winter when it's a little cooler.
A shorter length of
skirt or dress really gives off a playful, young vibe with the opaque tights in the
winter that a longer length just wouldn't.
I'm a big fan of tall boots during the
winter when I want to still be able to wear
skirts or dresses.
I always feel as though I'm wearing a socially acceptable form of PJs when I wear a maxi
skirt or dress — they are just so comfy for summer (
or winter in India, haha)!
Thick black tights are one of my
winter staples — if I wear them under a
skirt or dress with boots I wear a pair of thick socks too!
Do you wear hose with your
skirts and
dresses in the
winter or are those bare legs?
I still love wearing
dresses and
skirts in the
winter but with some modifications like adding tights
or choosing wool blend options.
When it starts to get cold, you can easily swap your short boots for knee - high boots to wear under a
skirt or dress,
or you can tuck your favorite jeans into tall boots during
winter.
I'm not big on wearing
dresses or skirts in the
winter, but tights would help keep those legs warm if I was wearing either!
That's something I would wear to work with pants
or a
skirt (
or even layered under a
dress in the
winter).
Even if you don't wear a ton of
dresses or skirts in the
winter (
or ever), you could still wear these boots with your leggings
or jeans.
There on trend and will see you through
winter as they can be paird with a pair of skinny jeans, jumper
dress,
skirt or shots!

I have tons of
dresses and
skirts that I wear during summer weekends (that are either more colorful
or more casual than my work clothes) but my
winter weekend clothes could use some work.
Anywho, if you want to wear a
skirt or dress in the
winter, tights are a must.
Let me see... I'm a huge fan of wearing
skirts and maxi
dresses in the Summer but in my mind, culottes were somewhat always a Fall
or Winter piece of clothing.
Maxi
dresses &
skirts are the answer to when it's breezy and you want to wear a
dress,
or you don't want the world to get a glimpse of your
winter white legs.
