There's also reportedly agreement on Cuomo's two - year property tax freeze,
with some modifications to his original proposal, a two - year delay of some
Common Core standards

Riverhead Republican Committee chairman Mason Haas said many members of his group oppose the

The true test of the
Common Core State Standards Initiative, and of public support for it, will come over the next few years, as states carry through
with their
implementation plans (see Figure 2).

with a stake in the successful
implementation of the
Common Core.

implementation of new literacy assessments in line
with the
Common Core state standards may help.
To be sure, the Euro already exists in the real world — you can hold one in your hands and buy things
with it — and its demise would likely trigger a worldwide economic crisis, whereas the
Common Core so far exists only on paper and all of its
implementation challenges lie ahead.
Being opposed to the
Common Core, when the president really has nothing to do
with its
implementation, is hardly administration - leading policy.

Common Core implementation: The challenge continues to be the same one that universities have always had having enough time for students to develop a complex understanding of the learning and teaching process as well as providing enough quality experiences (
with successful teachers in classrooms) before someone enters the classroom on his / her own.
For
implementation of the
Common Core to be truly successful, parents and families must not only know about the CCSS, they must have the capacity to help students learn in accordance
with the standards.
What might have gone away, had they never opened their mouths on the topic, is the political argument over
Common Core, which was quietly receding into
implementation challenges in the states that still acknowledge that they're using those standards — and something similar in places that put new labels on the same (or very similar) content, as well as a few jurisdictions that are still struggling to come up
with anything nearly as good on their own.
