I thought special occasion food was in order and more specifically Lemon Risotto Tarts
with Pea Puree because they're perfect little nibbles, complete with a punch of lemony flavor and a pop of color.

Serve the quinoa
with the pea puree on the side or mix it in to make it extra creamy!

I made this
with carrots instead of squash and instead of coconut milk used a bit of stock and half a block of creamed coconut so it was more of a spicy carrot
puree on the sweet potato (and substituted the chick
peas for green
peas plus added some spinach) and it was delicious.
Add half the
peas to a food processor
with 4 tablespoons of olive oil, juice of 1 lime, some salt and pepper to taste and blend to a
puree
Recently I've been eating it
with my rosemary and cinnamon sweet potato wedges baked for ages so that they are the wonderfully soft, squishy, sweet and tender and
pureed peas for extra deliciousness!
Traditionally you'd
puree half of your sweetcorn kernels — I didn't do this
with my sugar snap
peas but feel free to do so if you wish.

Combine the
peas and broccoli
with the remaining sauce ingredients in a food processor or blender and process until smoothly
pureed.

purees are available in sweet
peas with mint, sweet potatoes, butternut squash
with cinnamon, mango, peach, and prunes.

Add a starchy vegetable such as carrots, corn, potatoes, pumpkin,

with consistency and thickness.

peas, to the autumnal delights of peach, pear and blueberry, all the recipes are suitable for babies aged 6 months and above, and are so tasty you will want to eat them yourself!
We've never had much success
with using a hand blender to
puree peas — our Magic Bullet has been the best tool for this, although the
peas have to be
pureed in small batches and STILL don't come out 100 % smooth.
Add half the mint and
puree the
pea mixture using a stick blender or mashing
with a fork until you're happy
with the texture.
