«I enjoy experimenting with different firing techniques and have led many Raku and pit firing workshops with my students,» says Hergrueter.

Fascinated by fire, I find the drama and immediacy of the raku firing process contrasts sharply with the exacting and time - intensive process of taping and glazing each pot.
