After stripping off the fabric and taking all those staples off, I spray painted the chair legs
with Rustoleum - HeirloomWhite and proceeded with the preparation for reupholstering: using a seam ripper I took apart pieces that were sewn together; ironed the old pieces which served as a pattern and sewed the piping (reused the existing one).
This time we painted
it with Rustoleum Chalk paint in Charcoal and I really love the contrast.

I took the print out of the black frame and spray painted
it with Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze primer and paint.

1: Spray paint deer head
with Rustoleum Hammered Silver spray paint (or whatever color you choose but I recommend a gloss to get the resin or metallic look).
Then I took all my «leaves» out to the garage, spread them out, and sprayed them front and back
with Rustoleum American Accents Bright Metallic Gold spray paint.
Every spring I have to touch up some spots
with Rustoleum paint, but then it looks great!
I then stained the boards
with Rustoleum wood stain in weathered gray.

No matter what option you choose, it's a little time consuming but the result is worth it and I really am pleased
with Rustoleum's Cabinet Transformations» results.
If you decide to go with a darker hardware I have had a lot of success
with Rustoleum oil rubbed bronze spray paint.
Some other bloggers have posted good results
with the Rustoleum Cabinet Transformations (Centsational Girl Kate did her guest home kitchen).
We sanded everything down with 220 grit until it was as smooth as you can possibly imagine, and then stained
with Rustoleum Dark Walnut.
Therefore, I ordered these in a sort of brushed bronze finish and spray painted
them with Rustoleum flat white paint.
I chose to paint the box frame
with Rustoleum's «Seaside Green» leftover from this laundry room drying rack I made last summer.
Other options: Stain it with Minwax stain, leave it natural and clear coat
it with Rustoleum Clear Matte Spray Paint, or embellish it with a stencil from Royal Design Studios
and painted
them with Rustoleum Metallic spray paint in Pure Gold to match some super sleek square knobs I found for the top drawer.
I probably shouldn't even tell you but 3 coats took 1.5 hours and looks SO MUCH BETTER than my cabinets that I did
with the Rustoleum.
We were going to sand and paint the subfloor, but then we decided to cover
it with Rustoleum's Restore.
