Sure there is a strong possiblity alot of people would ditch the brand but IMO i don't think that would be the case when the only free alternatives would be PC gaming (something that I absolutely detest) and Nintendo themeselves with the wii U. Sure I'm leaving out this Steambox thing because we don't know a whole lot about that yet.

with the wii - u's pretty smooth and free online, the PSN network being much faster, and PC being on par or better than all 3 there is 0 reason people should be defending gold costs.

i think new fps games could actually be really awesome on wii u - you've got the gamepad for mini map, and better aiming control with wii remote + than traditional analog sticks.

Yep, I also think it all goes down if you are getting the switch or not, there isn't that much of a reason to go with wii u if you'll be getting the switch.

this was the one thing with move that seemed to stand on its own... I don't mind the idea of HD wii sports either, as long as it really is 1:1... that was my only real complaint with the wii when it released... there was motion control, but it was gimmicky and registered «wiggles» into canned animations... not to mention the gamecube visuals... still not sold on Move though... for me to really want one, I want to see what they are doing with shooters... Socom 4 and killzone 3 could be very special for core gamers and motion controls if they are done right... if you can aim on screen in true 1:1 fashion while sitting comfortably at a «normal» gaming distance... it could rearrange how I play first person shooters on a console... developers are saying the Move has input latency of 21ms, which is roughly half of a DS3... and second only to a wired mouse / keyboard... need to see how it works though, as it is not always that simple... just saying that if it does what its supposed to... it could end up being the answer to shooters on a console... as much as I like playing shooters with 2 sticks... I can't argue that I miss the days of a mouse and keyboard (as well as PC being the only platform to get the best shooters on... no longer the case by any means)... but with a first person shooter, there is no wiggle room... pun intended... it has to register every mm of movement on screen... and do it quickly... not sure if it can yet...

unless... of course, they really let people know that all their existing wii accessories (like the wiifit balance board) works with the wii - u.

I think what they saw with WII U is people liked the semi portable nature, so they went all out on that.

I owned one and I own a wiiu, the problem with the wii is it allowed nintendo to ignore greater fundamental problems with their business particularly regarding strong third party support.

The same issues occurred with the wii when it was released and im sure it would also occur with psmove (although to a lesser margin as it is aimed at a more mature audience).

I'll be happy with the wii u for at least another 4 - 5 years if Nintendo keep making games for it and if the install base grows then hopefully we will see some more games from other developers.

The way I see it is that if you get a 3ds you get games were real life can get in the way and it dose not get in the way of the experience and are portable like fire elemblem and Pokemon X and Y but no online play for mh3u with wii u can get deeper game like bayoneta 2 and monolith solf game that has no name but if you get interrupted it runes the expense but online play and miiverse if you can get both because you you get the befits with know drawback

@Gamechanger I don't know you but you are so right about everything you said that reminds of Heavenly Sword for the ps3 when that game came out at launch the graphics look like maxed out ps2 graphics but now ps3 games look way better than they were at launch and you can expect the same with wii u. oh I forgot graphic whores do nt know the difference between games at launch and games 3 or 4 in the console life cycle

With the wii version of the game I had the problem that at one point I couldn't get an further into the game and that just stopped me dead in my tracks.

These types of games I believe nintendo should try to make the best, I believe xbox and sony try to take on shooter based games and with the wii u game pad would in my opinion fits perfect for it.
