The
story is a classic
revenge tale that we've seen a thousand times before but
with a twist.
There's not a lot to this film in terms of
story, and there's almost nothing you won't expect, especially if you've seen the trailers: Deanna gets a de-frumping makeover to fit in better in college, she learns confidence, she bonds
with Maddie, she gets
revenge on Dan (in one of the film's best scenes), and she triumphs.
This isn't a murder mystery or a procedural or even a
revenge thriller, which may frustrate audiences when the ending comes, but let them be frustrated because it's the perfect ending to a
story that never lets anyone off the hook too easily, leaves characters asking themselves what to do from there, and holds no easy resolutions, just a tinge of hope that things need to get better, no matter if they go through
with their final decision or not.

revenge killing, when U.S. Navy Seals exacted retribution for the murder of 3000 people on September 11, 2001, on U.S. soil.

Paramount's last VistaVision release, One - Eyed Jacks is an under - appreciated western
with gorgeous camerawork by Charles Lang and terrific performances from Brando and Karl Malden, centered around a thrilling
revenge story with almost romantic notions and some Billy the Kid resonance.
In a genius move, this is probably the first
revenge movie I've seen that doesn't begin
with the devastating crime that acts as a catalyst for the
story to come.

When I got through playing Oogie's
Revenge, I must say that I was really disappointed that the game,
with such an engaging
story, did not manage to put more into the gameplay.
From there it turns into a combination Robin Hood
story,
revenge tale, and confidence game
with three players constantly shifting alliances (and sometimes identities).
With these words begins Mel Gibson's epic Braveheart, a
story of love, tragedy,
revenge, and bravery, as the sons of 13th Century Scotland rally against English tyranny.
It's hard to say if there's actually a decent
story underneath all this, but the sad thing is it looks like it could easily be a massive mess on par
with Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Transformers:
Revenge of the Fallen.
Admittedly the
story this time round is a little cliché, a terrible betrayal leading to the hero losing someone they love and vowing
revenge, but it's what Tales of Berseria does
with that cliché that makes it so wonderful.
Still, for those
with the endurance, the film provides frontier thrills and a
revenge story unlike any you have seen before.
Taking over for no less than Stanley Kubrick, Brando retains Kubrick's penchant for wide, low angles in telling an epic
revenge story that predicts the grand visions of Sergio Leone, filling it
with a mix of veteran character actors and Hispanic talent that would become the hallmark of uncredited screenwriter Sam Peckinpah.

with the listing of the Dead Island: Definitive Collection, which includes Dead Island Retro
Revenge.
After a fellow mourner (Mike Birbiglia) tells a moving
story about seeing Hotel Rwanda
with his late friend, who was moved enough by the movie that he started volunteering, Duplass counters
with his own moviegoing
story, recalling his brother as a bully who changed his ways after seeing
Revenge Of The Nerds.

With his crowd - funded 2014 indie sleeper, Blue Ruin, writer - director Jeremy Saulnier crafted a
revenge story that didn't romanticize vengeance, highlighted by several messy showdowns between believable characters — real - seeming people, not standard - issue movie killers.

story with a kickass spectacle that exceeded my (ridiculously low) expectations.

Revenge brings the legendary title to new artistic heights
with an anime - inspired art style and narrative that expands upon the original
story.

Perhaps the weakest element of Into the Sun proves to be the
story itself,
with a very standard tale of feuding gangs and the typical
revenge subplot you've come to expect from a Seagal vehicle.
To explain further would only serve as a spoiler, but what Jordan's standout performance does is remind viewers of the disparity in the diaspora; Killmonger's rage and lust for
revenge can quickly be empathized
with because as an outsider to Wakanda he isn't simply just an evil villain, he is a hero of a different but valid
