I made these last night
with the following variations — tamari subbed for soy
sauce,
almond butter instead of peanut (I don't like peanuts or their
butter), and I added italian seasoning, garlic salt, and oregano to taste.
Cream room temperature
butter and brown sugar together for 5 — 8 minutes / Add egg & milk mixture (w / extracts) a little at a time until fully incorporated / By hand or
with mixer on lowest speed, alternately add flour and buttermilk until just incorporated — don't overmix at this point for the tenderest cake / By hand gently stir in 2 — 3 cups of rhubarb
sauce so that it swirls through the batter / Place in a 9 - inch square or 10 - inch round pan coated
with just a little
butter and flour / Sprinkle evenly

sauce which turned out really well: Juice of 1 Meyer Lemon, 1 Garlic Clove, 1 Handful of Raw Cashews, 1 Tablespoon of Raw
Almond Butter, 2 Tablespoons of Low Sodium Tamari, 1 Jalapeño, 1 Handful of Spinach, and 2 Handfuls of Fresh Basil.
To Serve: Drain the pasta place in a serving tray (or in individual bowls) sprinkle
with the
almonds and Parmesan cheese and drizzle the hot brown
butter sage
sauce over the pasta and drizzle
with balsamic glaze.
Whilst we typically enjoy an apple
with a touch of
almond butter, I've recently been turned on to this caramel
sauce.

He uses whatever meat is in the fridge or freezer, sautes it up
with onions, and then mixes it
with a
sauce that includes some secret combination of
almond butter, ginger, peppers, soy
sauce and rice vinegar.
I then mix 1 - 2 T of peanut or
almond butter with a glug of mirin, the same of soy
sauce, a tsp of fish
sauce, a tsp of sesame oil, and a T or so of warm water and turn off the heat and stir that mixture in and it is so amazing and everyone is happy.
