bike - sharing program — got me thinking about what it would really take to create a cycling
culture in Turkey.
Canning credits the Dutch
with the effort to turn away from car - centric
culture in the 1970s to re-embrace a more walkable, bikeable standard for cities and include slow - moving but hard - working cargo
bikes.

The idea of parting
with much - loved two - wheeled companion may be too much for some
biking enthusiasts — and no wonder, considering that a lot of people are quite attached to their trusty
bikes and more often than not, also identify
with a larger
bike culture that's beginning to take hold in some cities.
