Paint the backs of two plain mirrors
with chalk board paint and glue a row of pegs in place to act as clips for receipts or notes.

To prepare this
board for my song lyric sign, I
painted three coats of off - white
chalk paint on it before lightly sanding it
with a fine grit sand paper to make it smooth.
I built the long, narrow box out of 1 x 6
boards and gave it a rustic, distressed look
with a combination of stain,
chalk paint, and some «old» drawer pulls.

Found by the homeowner, this reclaimed door was hung and partly
painted with chalk paint to create a message
board.
Tip: Use good quality masking tape the better the tape, the sharper and cleaner the lines.Alternatively you could try
painting stools
with black
board paint so your little ones can get creative
with chalk.
Just one question, though — the recipe you give for
chalk board paint with to other piece of furniture you
painted, is that the same recipe that you also used for the marvelous make - over of the stereo gram in the two grey
paints?

We started by
painting our sample
board as we normally would,
with two light coats of
chalk paint.
For the sample
boards topped in
Chalk Paint ® I just used a sanding block but
with the Benjamin Moore
paint I used a palm sander
with 220 grit sand paper.
After that I simply
painted the
board with chalkboard
paint, let it dry, & then seasoned the
board with chalk by rubbing
chalk all over the
board & wiping off
with a rag to give it that used chalkboard look.
As
with any chalkboard
paint, you will need to prep the surface once it is completely dry by rubbing a piece of
chalk across the entire
board (easiest if you turn the
chalk on its side).
I sprayed the center
with chalk board spray
paint and then inserted it back into the frame.

This is really a great DIY and even better, you can mix any
paint with some non-sanded grout and voila, you have instant
chalk board paint.
