Feel free to use raisins in place of the dried cranberries, or try
it with chopped dates or pecans.
Interestingly, the number of new products
with chopped dates in only the first half of 2017 has almost reached the number of products
with chopped dates launched in the whole of 2016.
Also, I made two versions of this recipe, first with one whole egg and 2 % milk and my own extras (
with chopped dates [6] and chopped dried apricots [6] and chopped blanched almonds [approx 14 - 13 cup].
This salad is great to make in different ways, for instance I've made
it with chopped dates instead of cherries, with butternut squash instead of Kabocha, and also without eggplant.
Tip 4: For a sweeter version replace the pomegranate
with chopped dates.
It's couscous
with chopped dates, roasted almonds and other goodies and then instead of broth, you douse it with a warm milk and honey mixture... Make sure to use plenty of cinnamon!
Pour wet ingredients into the dry along
with the chopped dates and mix thoroughly until well combined.
Dried apricots, glance cherries, figs and sultanas has been replaced
with chopped dates and apples.
Feel free to make
these with chopped dates and shredded carrots instead!
I may also make a batch
with chopped dates and cherries.
I am going to try it without the herbs next time and
with some chopped dates and walnuts added.

Not exact matches
I need to make them again as I don't have my food processor
with me at the moment and so mashed the sweet potato and
chopped up
dates with a fork which I think led to a denser consistency.
It's not perfect, but since you can buy ground almonds here, I just
chopped the
dates into little pieces and made a dough from everything
with my hands.
I used normal
dates, and I found that if you
chop them up small and place them in the food processor
with the hot kumera for a few minutes, the hot kumera actuallly softens them so they blend nicely.
The
date caramel was great but I just made another recipe
with a similar process but instead you poured boiling water over roughly
chopped dates, left them to sit for 10 mins and then blended, this created a much smoother paste.
I crushed the nuts in a bag (like you do
with biscuits to make a cheesecake base),
chopped the
dates into thirds and then put everything in a bowl and gave it a whiz
with my small hand blender.
The second time I soaked the
dates in boiling water to soften them and then I just used a blender stick to blend the
dates with sweet potato and maple syrup (much easier than a processor) I also made a budget version and used regular cocoa powder, 1/2 honey 1/2 maple syrup, no pinenuts - just 1/2 cup of coconut flour and 1/2 cornflour, I also added
chopped walnuts.
Drain the figs, reserve about 1/3 of them,
chop and combine the rest
with the beans,
dates, cocoa powder, coconut oil, chia seeds, vanilla extract and salt in a food processor.
However, I improvised by using a potato masher, and
chopping the
dates finely
with a sharp knife.
I buy nuts already ground /
chopped, seeds can be crushed in a pestle and mortar, and
with dates (or other dried fruit) they can be
chopped small, gently heated in a pan
with a splash of water, and then they're soft enough for a stick blender!
Not overly sweet and it's relatively sugar free

O my goodness, I tried these tonite and served it in a wrap (2pieces per wrap), Iade homemade wraps too, to go

As I went through the recipe, I realized I had a lot of similar ingredients on hand, so I did a riff on the original recipe:
chopped dates in place of currants, cucumbers in place of zucchini, goat cheese (
with sundried tomatoes and chili flakes, from the local farmer's market) in place of feta, a basil / thyme / chive combo from my window box in place of the dill and green onions.
Sounds like my «healthier banana split» Split banana, add scoops of full fat Greek yogurt, top
with shredded coconut, nuts, occasionally a few
chopped dates or a drizzle of honey.
2 cups unsweetened almond milk 1 tablespoon green tea leaves 2 - 3 sprigs rosemary — lightly bruised
