with a different flour, such as buckwheat / spelt /
coconut / any other?
If you're working
with anyone that has a nut
allergy then omit the ground almonds and use a little under 1/4 cup additional
coconut flour.
Note that the FDA does list
coconut as a tree nut, though many people
with tree nut
allergies are fine
with coconut.

allergy perspective, and while some people
with tree nut
allergies are also allergic to
coconuts they are mutually exclusive (similarly those allergic to peanuts are not always allergic to tree nuts, although peanuts are generally included in «nut free» disclaimers).
