It is a better choice for dishes that are cooked or fried at higher temperatures or dishes that you don't want to infuse
with the coconut taste.

with cheese) were replaced
with an experiment to see if almond,
coconut or rice milk
tastes best.
You can't
taste the
coconut oil in these, but feel free to try replacing it
with another nut oil or some olive oil.
I use a totally plain
coconut yoghurt, that
tastes like greek yoghurt — I'd say definitely find one
with no sweetener or flavourings, as I'm sure that would make the dish
taste a bit funny!
I eat this for breakfast either
with coconut yoghurt or sprinkled on porridge, smoothie bowls or chia puddings — it really
tastes great
with everything!
Although they
tasted delicious, the batter totally stuck even
with the
coconut oil I was using.
I've not tried it
with coconut milk before but I imagine this would
taste really delicious, it might just end up a little thicker x

taste exotic hot sauces, but somebody has to do it.
1/2 cup dried chickpeas — soaked overnight 1 medium onion — halved 3 - 4 garlic cloves — crushed
with a knife 6 cups water sea salt — to

coconut oil or ghee — divided 1 cup millet — soaked overnight juice of 2 lemons — divided 2 tablespoons olive oil — divided 1 tablespoon tamari 2 tablespoons sweet miso paste 1 tablespoon mustard 1 garlic clove — minced pinch of cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon cumin 1 large leek, white and pale green parts only — sliced 1 bunch rainbow chard — leaves separated from stems, stems chopped, leaves torn into bite - size pieces
Again sadly I haven't used a substitute for
coconut oil but you could try
with another neutral
tasting oil xx

with some

taste of this is pretty insane too, the caramel - like dates work so well
with the
coconut oil, sweet apple puree, zesty ginger and chocolaty cacao to create something totally divine.
Sadly not as you really need the solid
coconut oil to help bind the mixture together which just wouldn't work
with another liquid oil in terms of the
taste and consistency unfortunately x
I'm obsessed
with the blueberry bowl, which is filled
with coconut milk, oats, homemade blueberry compote, fresh strawberries, almond butter, rye granola and
tasted coconut pieces.
This crumble is heavenly, the subtle
taste of
coconut oil that melt in your mouth
with the mouth watering fruit.
It makes a great grain - free snack and also
tastes pretty amazing in a bowl
with cold
coconut milk.

Then when you're ready to make your frosting, you only use the fat from the
coconut milk, melt it together
with a bag of chocolate chips (I used dairy free ones), add a little vanilla and salt to
taste and stick it in the fridge to re-solidify until ready to use.

with a spritz of

coconut oil can be used but will give a different

with the mother)
The red and green curry pastes from Thai Kitchen, along
with some fish sauce and a good quality can of
coconut milk, are all you really need to create authentic
tasting Thai curries at home.

This reminds me of my favorite quick / easy / delicious winter dinner: peel and cube a butternut squash, sweat it
