My curatorial vision had been deeply influenced by that decade of exhibitions... The 1993 biennial was also important because I had an amazing opportunity to learn from my colleagues: Elisabeth Sussman, the biennial's director, along
with cocurators Lisa Phillips and John Hanhardt.
As Senior Curator at BAM / PFA from 1999 through 2007, she organized many major exhibitions that toured nationally and internationally, including The Dream of the Audience: Theresa Hak Kyung Cha (1951 — 1982); Everything Matters: Paul Kos, a Retrospective; Ant Farm, 1968 — 1978 (
