Christian Knigge, Professor in Physics and Astronomy at the University of Southampton,
worked with colleagues from around the world to study one of the most important, but least understood processes in astronomy — accretion, where the mass of an object grows by gravitationally collecting material from nearby.
With her colleagues from around the world, she is designing techniques to better characterize complex molecules in biological samples, atmospheric aerosols, and biofuels, work critical for a secure energy future.
