with Tate Connects, an initiative established in 2008 to develop partnerships between Tate and other UK galleries, the BALTIC Centre for

installation piece from the Tate collection, «Pharmacy» (1992).
The
Contemporary Art Society has acquired an
installation by Dineo Seshee Bopape at Frieze London for Towner Art Gallery in Eastbourne, inspired by her South African heritage and the artist's spiritual and physical relationship
with her surroundings.
McElheny's
installation uses translucent projection cloth, mirrors and film to present a very
contemporary take on abstraction, while Rodriguez's depiction of a tongue,
with an acupuncturist's diagnoses scrawled over the image, explores society's obsession
with health, and the competing claims of traditional and modern medicine.
Highlights of NYCxDESIGN included BKLYN DESIGNS, WantedDesign, and the International
Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), and Pratt took part in these events
with demonstrations,

Contemporary, entitled «Ceiling of Black Birds,» she knew she wanted to make something out of paper, but as is the case
with so much of her work, the specific concept came to her in a dream.

with the copper artisans of Sulav Studios, in Patan, Nepal, and the creation of two
contemporary installations that conceptually and aesthetically blend elements of East and West.
The eerie, slightly uneasy feel of Ghenie's work continues unbroken from these painted works to The Darwin Room, an
installation of meticulously sourced eighteenth and nineteenth century panelling, floor boards and furniture, juxtaposed

As
installation is inextricably tied to an engagement
with space — which is accentuated by the fact that most readings of
contemporary African art, which in itself is a fraught notion, are often unfortunately homogenous and geographic — how is there a differentiation between museological, topographical and socio - political spaces in making post-black work?
