The on - ear the A38s muffle some outside noises
with their earpads, but not to the same extent as the Plantronics BackBeat Pro or wired Bose QuietComfort 25 over-ear headphones, the latter of which simply has the best noise cancellation technology we've tested.

with earpads, boom mic and lack of dock slightly letting down the package.

The headphones are comfortable enough to wear for hours — vital for a long flight —
with soft, plush
earpads and large cups that fit all the way around your ear.
Those are roomier, while the PXC 550's
earpads are angled in a way that could be tricky for those
with especially large ears.
VMODA does offer an optional XL
Earpad option for $ 20, but it would have been nice to include a thicker set of default pads or include this option to start out
with.

with noise cancellation turned off, which is a testament to Bose's
earpad design.

with a luxurious feel on the head.

Like many premium headphones, they offer a padded headband
with oversized, memory foam
earpads that completely cover your ears.
Design The G231 is mostly dark gray plastic,
with bright orange highlights on the outside of the earcups, just above the
earpads, and over the padding under the headband.
Those
with wider noggins may find them a little tight, but between the exceptional sound quality and extremely comfortable
earpads and headband, it is easy to excuse.
