I am not a believer in eternal conscious damnation so I think the destruction Jesus was referring to did not have to do
with eternal condemnation but rather a life filled with destruction.

It also seems quite hard to swallow that a person could spend his or her life helping the poor, counseling the down and out, building homes for Habitat for Humanity, giving millions to charitable causes, assisting those
with disabilities and mental health issues, and without a sincere acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior, be doomed to

First of all, most of this «homosexuality is a sin» stuff begins
with that «original sin» interpretation of the Garden of Eden parable in Genesis — supposedly, getting kicked out of Eden was the beginning of an
eternal condemnation because of Adam and Eve's disobedience of God.
After all, did not the Catholic Church impose a host of rules and regulations upon its hapless flock
with threats of
eternal condemnation for disobedience?
