with flax egg.
For our liquids, we're going
with a flax egg, mashed banana, applesauce, maple syrup and non-dairy milk.
You just have to beat together the cashew butter
with a flax egg and some maple syrup, add in your flour, baking soda and salt, roll»em up into balls and your cookie base is done!
I love the process of experimenting like
with flax egg replacer or applesauce and bananas.
(This yields a strong banana flavor, so if you're not a huge banana fan, I would suggest substituting at least one of the bananas
with a flax egg instead: 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds mixed with 2 to 3 tablespoons water per 1 egg.)
And a lot of the recipe should work
with a flax egg instead of normal eggs.
I replaced the egg in the recipe
with a flax egg to make this a vegan - friendly treat as well.
If you wanted to leave the egg out completely, you can replace
it with a flax egg and still add the 2 tablespoons that are in the recipe.
I swapped up the eggs
with flax egg and the original recipe called for cream which I swapped out for full - fat coconut milk and lemon - juice for a touch of tangi - ness.

I substituted the egg
with a flax egg (1 T flax meal + 2 1 / 2 T water and allowed to sit for 10 min) to make it plant - based.
I haven't tried
with flax egg, but I think you'll want to increase the leavening a little.

I made
these with flax egg — 1tbsp of ground flax mixed with 3 tbsp of warm water for each egg.
Blend 8 medjool dates with 1/4 c water to make 1/2 c date paste and add to dry ingredients
with the flax egg, applesauce, and almond milk, and stir to combine into batter.
Make them vegan / egg - free by replacing the one egg
with a flax egg.

I'm not familiar
with flax egg but have had good results substituting firm silken tofu for egg in cookie recipes.

I tried making
these with flax eggs to replace the eggs, (I can't have egg yolks) and it didn't work.
I did try making
these with flax eggs and they did not rise well and were somewhat gummy.
To be honest my experience
with flax eggs is very limited so I couldn't say for sure but I think that it would likely turn out ok.

Even though I don't use chia eggs quite as often, they're pretty much interchangeable
with flax eggs.
Cakes, cookies, quick breads, muffins, pancakes... I've gotten them all to work
with flax eggs, and I can recall very few flax egg failures.
I tried
with flax eggs, it just didn't work.
They're flavored with nutmeg and cinnamon, and made
with flax eggs and coconut oil.
I used eggs to bind it all together, so I'm afraid it's not vegan, but you could always experiment
with flax eggs or another egg alternative if you need your nut roast to be vegan.
