Across from the floral heart wreath, we created a mimosa bar by
framing the top of a
chalkboard sign
with roses and eucalyptus, using a custom «mimosa bar» tag as a table accent and then filled the ice bucket
with gorgeous floral ice.
I'm sure I'm asking a stupid question however, why would your sister want an ornate
frame painted
with chalkboard paint?

Framed Chalkboard (just switched up
with wood backing instead of metal).

frames with that kind of detail.

frame chalkboard for advertising my cake stands at my market stall to which I glued a row of coasters

chalkboard in my kitchen
with them... to match the yardstick backsplash I made.
And it ties in well
with our
chalkboard that we also
framed using reclaimed wood from our scrap pile.
I have actually been buying the
frames at Goodwill, and then spraying the actual glass
with chalkboard paint.
So basically I made the
chalkboard frame according to her instructions, then I gathered a piece of burlap
with a thread (I'm no sewing person btw) and just weaved the needle and thread in and out until I had this.
This is great if you don't want to hang it on a door — this
framed chalkboard can be moved to the top of a console or piano or mantel... it makes the wreath so much more versatile (
with the help of a command hook).
I made the
chalkboard from and old picture
frame and wrote the quote on there
with chalk.
To create my
chalkboard, I used some inexpensive
framed art that went
with my old dining room color scheme but that I was now no longer using.
So instead of purchasing an extra-large
frame or
chalkboard, I decided to paint the wall instead
with chalkboard paint I got from Lowe's.
Sabrina offered the suggestion of adding either mirror or vinyl decals to my wall instead of
frames, but the wall opposite the window is made up entirely of mirrored closet doors and
with the
chalkboard wall, I would prefer to add chalk art instead of vinyl.

Chalkboard Frames.
To make a custom message board a mirror was removed from its
frame and then the wood backing was painted
with an $ 8 can of
chalkboard paint.
For message boards, cut pieces of thin wood to fit into picture
frames and coat
with chalkboard, magnetic, or dry - erase paint, or cut sheets of metal and cover
with thin fabric to use as magnet boards.
Mounted along the staircase, a
frame from a broken mirror becomes a stylish message board
with a new plywood backing and black
chalkboard paint.
With the magnetic
framed art gallery complete, we decided to make the second wall in our little guys room a
chalkboard wall.
We painted some old windows that were going into the trash after my parent's lake cabin renovation — we painted the
frames white & glazed them
with Valspar antiquing glaze, and then painted the glass
with chalkboard paint.
I like the look of a green
