with free studio space and subsidized housing.
Our Artist Studio Program provides six artists annually
with free studio space, a $ 5,000 artist's fellowship, and access to Smack Mellon's facilities, which include: six private studios and three common areas; a state - of - the - art digital production lab, including two high - definition video editing stations, a tablet PC for digital photo editing, and equipment to enable the conversion of all video and audio formats; a fabrication shop for wood and metal fabrication; and a kitchen / lounge area.

The LES
Studio Program allows emerging and underrepresented artists to have
free studio space and access to art professionals, the annual Open Studios held in conjunction
with the Clemente Soto Velez Educational and Cultural Center provides the public
with an opportunity to see artists» work, and the Art (Inter) Actions initiative directly collaborates
with the local community through educational and outreach projects.
A one - week unique and
free opportunity for eight emerging artists nominated by artist - led
spaces from around the UK who will work closely
with leading international artists to discuss and develop their individual practices through a series of tutorials, workshops, reading groups,

Each year, the selected artists receive
