It's just a cover and I lost the insert so I mainly use it as a cover on my fitted diapers or
with a gDiapers disposable insert.
You do have to make a little bit of an initial investment
with gDiapers.

The way I did that though was just this way... I used Flip covers
with gcloth and
gdiaper disposables.
I think the
gDiaper wraps were the best ones for us — cute, well - fitting, compatible
with the DSQ prefolds.
Truthfully, I haven't pushed them on the diaper issue because I don't think cloth makes a lot of sense for us, and I agree
with @Akeeyu - I doubt that throwing away
gDiaper inserts is really all that much of an improvement over throwing away disposables.
I LOVE
gDiapers with the intensity of a gazillion suns!!!! It has been the only diaper... cloth or disposable... that has fit my chunky monkey.
We love our

I've used
gDiapers a bit
with both girls.
But I am also pretty sure they would balk at being asked to reload the
gDiapers, and I can't blame them - there are 2 adults for 8 babies, and they should be playing
with the babies, not messing
with diapers.
I can tell you
with 100 % certainty, though, that wet
gDiaper liners compost, because I have put them in my compost pile and they aren't there now.
I loathed
gDiapers with the intensity of a gazillion suns (worst of both worlds, because I had to keep buying the liners * and * keep washing the covers, and I never touched so much poop in my life as I did
with them, and then they were condescending when I asked if there was some magic secret to getting the liner to stay in place).
Not sure where your loathing came from, but the
gDiaper company wouldn't be growing if there weren't so many people that disagree
with you!
The cloth inserts and
gdiaper covers are thrown in
with our regular laundry, so we're not using any extra water / energy / detergent.
gDiapers are available in four different sizes and are cover up combo
with inserts.
I still like my
Gdiapers but I'm just as happy
with my MG baby and Jungleroo pocket diapers.
We have used both
gdiapers with flushable inserts and Flip diapers
with cloth inserts for camping trips and vacations up to a week long, as long as you can do laundry once on a trip it is totally do - able.
