So how could this seemingly
carb dominated food
with a
high amount
of sugar not spike the blood sugar
levels as much as other foods?
I mean, if I'm used to run on a low supply
of carbs, and might have reached good results
with such a diet, shouldn't I be a cardiac beast when I go back to a
higher level of carbs?
Also, to mention the Atkins diet, in the book I read, the diet begins
with a two week very low
carb diet [20 grams
of carbo perday] in order to transition the body into a state
of nutritional ketosis, using ketones not glucose / insulin for energy generation; however, it is not intended to be a permanent such state but rather for the dieter to gradually add in
carbs; however, is one added in only up to the limit, which varies from person to person,
of carbs to just below the lvel that would transition out
of ketosis, then Atkins would work
with that in mind and requiring monitoring for blood or urine ketone
levels and must needs be
high fat,, moderate protein, and low
carbs
Similarly, this twelve month randomised control low
carb study found that people had better outcomes in terms
