British Airways is a great airline to get you to Europe and for short flights within the region, but there's often one
huge problem
with BA: their
fuel surcharges and assorted other additional taxes.
For one thing, they partner
with Virgin Atlantic, and booking
with Delta might be the only way to experience this cool, albeit over-hyped airline without

And British Airways tacks on

with AA miles.
While it's still possible to fly Lufthansa First Class, it now costs either 110,000 United miles one way or a

huge fuel surcharges on flights to Japan / Korea.

with your American Airlines miles to avoid
