White beans are my absolute favorite right now, and I am hooked on soups
with kale in them.
Catch me out in the sunshine, drinking kombucha
with kale in one hand and chocolate in the other!
We made it today (
with kale in place of chard) and my girls were speechless: all they could say in front of their colorful meal was: wow!
I am obsessed
with kale in soups lately too!
Things like kale chips, green smoothies
with kale in them, and hundreds of other kale recipes will all get more of these antioxidants into your system.
Was it fate that I came across this recipe the day we were trying to figure out what to do
with the kale in our fridge (rejected from being used in this kale salad as it was much too spicy)?
My base for this cleansing, alkalizing salad is made
with kale in abundance and a mix of greens for nutritional variety.
Not exact matches
I take any excess vegetables - e.g., spring onions, leeks, green garlic, beets,
kale - and combine them
in a food processor
with some toasted nuts (almonds or pine nuts), a little hard cheese, and some garlic, vinegar, and olive oil (recipe at right).

The selection of veggies varies a little depending on what I have
in my fridge but it usually centres on these four —

in this salad, all the flavours really compliment each other and bring the whole dish together.

with kale couse they always end up having a lot of bits

Living
in Germany at the moment and
kale isn't
in the supermarkets yet but substituted it
with some delicious pointed cabbage instead, and you can't get black beans anywhere here, but mixed white beans, kidney beans, chickpeas worked a treat.
Just tried this récipe as my first experience
with kale (finally found it
in local eco market this week); verdict — fabulous!!!! I love tamari anyway & it really works so well to soften the
kale leaves.
The flavours
in this are so great too — the mix of sesame, ginger, chilli and coriander
with spring onions, peppers,
kale and mushrooms is just so delicious.
The «Superfood Side» is made
with a blend of hand - chopped
kale and broccolini, tossed

I just made it again
in the pressure cooker
with kale instead of spinach and only did it under pressure for 2 minutes
with quick release, and it was wonderful!
With the spring nettles currently looking lovely out
in my garden, tomorrow's dinner quiche will sub nettles for
kale.

Ironically, not even 30 minutes ago, (at 07:30
in the morning,) I was having a discussion
with some colleagues about the versatility and nutritional value of
kale.
I tried
with some of our home grown
kale once and it was just not meant to be — coconut water
with large pieces of
kale floating about
in it was rather hard to drink.
I'm entering day 3 of this starter right now, using organic
kale (
with lots of good white film / dust)
in lieu of the cabbage.
