This corresponds roughly to the diameter of our solar system or to that of a black hole
with a mass of one billion solar masses.
But recently it was observed that the mass of a central black hole correlates
with the mass of the galaxy around it!
The particle is part of the mechanism that endows all other particles
with mass.
Working
with mass - spectroscopy specialists at the French national research agency in Gif - sur - Yvette and with scientists at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in Grenoble, they used two types of mass spectroscopy and two methods of x-ray scanning.
