As long as your baby isn't having any obvious trouble breathing, it's better to not intervene
with saline
drops or a
nasal aspirator.
Other simple things parents can do, suggests Dr. Conway, are letting the baby sleep upright — in a car seat, swing, or lying on a parent's chest — during acute symptoms and consulting
with a physician regarding use of saline
drops three times a day to lubricate
nasal passages and loosen thick
nasal discharge, making it easier to remove
with bulb suction.
You can help alleviate some of the discomforts your baby may be feeling by clearing your baby's
nasal passages
with a bulb syringe
with a few
drops of over-the-counter
nasal saline
drops such as little noses to clear the airway.
If your infant is having trouble breathing or drinking because of

If your baby is having trouble drinking, try to clear
nasal congestion gently

with saline (salt water) nose

Steam inhalations can help clear out
nasal passages, so try adding a few
drops of eucalyptus oil to a bowl of steaming hot water, and inhale the steam
with a towel over your head.
If the sinus symptoms are really severe you can use a Neti Pot for
nasal irrigation

drops each Lavender, Lemon, Peppermint, 1/4 T fine quality salt, and 8 ounces warm water.
More commonly veterinarians dispense antibiotic
drops and
nasal saline
drops to the affected nostril and hope the pet will sneeze any foreign object out
with time.
Placing a few

nasal saline rinse into the pet's nostrils three times a day might also help if your pet will put up
