So I just finally went
with it, and lowered my
normal photo standards for the sake of the
pasta.
It's fun to use an ingredient beyond its «
normal» roll and change it up a bit - like you've done
with the
pasta and pistachios.
I've always been a pretty clean / healthy eater for the most part but have always seemed to struggle
with carbs — I'm not sure if it's in my head, but especially the last few years, I've avoided most
pastas, noodles, rice, breads, potatoes, etc, like the plague and I want to eventually try to incorporate them back into my diet... sort of like transitioning off of low carb / low fat, and trying to eat more like a
normal, balanced person.
Pasta should be nothing more than a treat because it isn't providing your dog
with anything they aren't already getting in their
normal dog food.

normal» American diet (cereals,
pasta, rice, bread, waffles, pancakes, muffins, soft drinks, packaged snacks, sweets, desserts).
Normal pasta usually comes packed
with high amounts of carbs and little else of nutritional value.
For example, cauliflower «rice» can replace
normal rice, eggs and courgettes can make a delicious pizza crust (check out my pizza base options here and here), there are low carb
pasta options like black bean
pasta (U.S. option HERE), zoodles (thin courgette strings) can replace noodles, you can make a delicious mash «potato»
with cauliflower.
