«The problems that we hear at meetings are usually from new mothers who are uncomfortable
with nursing in public because they are getting used to the whole process,» O'Donnell said.
My daughter has also helped a new mom feel comfortable
with nursing in public by saying, «If your baby could talk, he would say thank you».
It was a wake - up call and since then I was much more comfortable

I agree
with Jane
in regards to the fact that some just aren't comfortable
nursing in public, but it would still be wonderful if every
nursing mom to feel like she's able to and will not be judged.
I don't have a problem
with lactation rooms as long as women are not told that they must use them and as long as enough women keep
nursing in public to help normalize it and help combat the images of sexual breasts

The key to supplementing an active baby
in public is to find a relatively quiet place to

with fewer distractions, especially when baby is tired and hungry.
As
with anything, breastfeeding parents should cover or not cover to their comfort level, and parents shouldn't feel obligated to

in public: I won't ever use a breastfeeding cover.
SUNNY GAULT: Yeah, I mean, I think that's, you know, the whole point
with the whole baby - friendly initiative is, you know, when moms come
in to a hospital, you really don't know their background, you don't know, you know, did their mom breastfeed, you know, have they, you know, have they ever seen someone

Going out
in public also created frustration as I was nervous to
nurse with an audience and embarrassed because I felt like others could tell I wasn't completely sure of what I was doing.
The first time I
nursed in public I was gifted a really cute
nursing cover when I was pregnant
with my first kid.
