with protein, you can replace 1/2 cup of the

with an equal amount of your favorite
protein powder (I've used hemp
with delicious success), but you'll want to increase the almondmilk measurement by 2 tablespoons.
Since the oats are a less - prominent part of this recipe, you might try replacing the
oat flour
with buckwheat and the whole oats
with crisp brown rice cereal like we used in my recipe for
protein granola.
You can replace the
oat flour
with brown rice flour, sorghum flour, almond flour or more
protein powder (approximately 3 - 5 extra scoopfuls worth, or however much until you reach that fudgy cookie dough texture).
With fresh, homemade fiber packed
oat meal and fluffy
protein loaded ricotta.
Usually when one ingredient in a recipe is high glycemic I balance it out
with other ingredients that are low on the glycemic index, like nut butters,
oat flour, cocoa and
protein powder.
