My advice would be to either use walnuts as mentioned
in the
recipe or pecans since both these nuts are softer, blending easily
with the
oats
I have some raw sprouted pumpkin seed butter
in the fridge that would be perfect for making these, however I don't do well
with rolled grains as I prefer being able to soak my grains first and then make them into homemade flours
in my ever - so - well - used Vita - mix — what could I used
in place of the rolled
oats in this
recipe (it sounds way to lovely to pass up making so I'm hoping you have a suggestion!)?
You can not replace them
with anything else
in this
recipe, as it has absolutely no other flour or grain, and is mostly
oats.
I know my
recipes focus quite heavily on using gluten free
oats (clues
in the name), but there are a small percentage of people diagnosed
with Coeliac Disease that may still be sensitive to certified GF
oats, and therefore can't eat them.
I'm certainly not allergic to or nervous about gluten, but I do love to substitute ground
oats for some of the white flour called for
in a
recipe whenever I think I can get away
with it.
Just baked left to cool for 10 mins but they were still gooie
in the middle (half baked) although still a bit warm, i cooked them for an extra 10 mins dispite this they taste amazing i suspect it could be the
oats i used i will defenlty try this

with different
oats i did nt have any liquid left over either the
oats very quickly absorbed it all when mixing

With these words
in mind I grabbed a Squarebar protein bar, gluten free rolled
oats, nuts, coconut oil and created a yummy granola clusters
recipe.
Ironic, I talked about cooking

in my post today too my breakfasts definitely come
in phases hut I haven't had an
oats one
in a long time I miss them, I think I should start back up
with the
recipe because it looks incredible!
I have also made this
recipe successfully
with 3 cups (90 g) puffed brown rice cereal
in place of quick - cooking
oats.
The cauliflower and the
oats go together really well
in texture, but if you're not a big fan of the flavour of cauliflower or use a bit too much you can end up
with a slight cauliflower undertones
in some
recipes.
I love
oats so anything

I keep things gluten - free
with chickpea breadcrumbs, along
with the coarsely ground
oats and chickpeas
in their original

We do have a soaked cold cereal
recipe that we use from time to time, but it's just

In the vein of whole - grain vegan sweets, the Post-Punk Kitchen has a terrific
recipe for jam thumbprint cookies that also features olive oil, maple syrup, and whole wheat pastry flour, along
with ground
oats and almonds.
And instead of a gluten - free flour that's void of nutrition, I chose to make this
recipe with oat flour today which I ground myself
with whole
oats in my Nutribullet
in about 5 seconds.
Well I read
in the comments under the My New Roots
recipe that someone replaced it
with 1 cup coconut flour + something (which seems odd; that's A LOT of coconut flour), but I'm guessing it wouldn't compare to the
oats - version at all, texture-wise.
In fact, the only really unconventional practice you're undertaking
with this
recipe is adding some canned pumpkin puree (or homemade pumpkin puree, if you're the terribly fancy type) into your
oats once they have finished cooking.
The
recipe calls for mashed bananas to be mixed
with zucchini and carrots as well as vegan staples like chia seeds using either water or whichever milk substitute you prefer to blend it all
in with rolled
oats.

I was thinking of replacing the flour
with a mix of whole wheat pastry flour and finely ground
oats (this substitution works wonders
in quickbread
recipes).
Apart from all these incredible health benefits
oats are by far my favourite grain to bake
with as it's so easy to transform them
in flavour (just put them
in a blender) and they work well
in almost any
recipe.
In this
recipe, I keep the serving size to 1/3 cup (rather than the 1/2 cup most labels call for
with rolled
oats) and add some ground flax for extra fiber and some cortisol - taming omega - 3s, which have been studied extensively for their positive impact on depressive symptoms.
