The section of the bookcase that was original to the house that we salvaged and used for the new base was primed
with an oil based primer, then painted with the latex.
Adam painted them first
with an oil based primer (this one) and then went over that with a latex paint (SW ProClassic).

with in the past always used
oil based primer on top of wallpaper just for the fact that water -

oil based primer... I would always go

with an
oil -
based primer as well.
