As Disney retconned the Expanded Universe, meaning that all
books,
comics and games released before April 2014 would no longer be considered canon, the expansions for The
Old Republic, along
with the Fantasy Flight card games, remain the only new stories set within the Expanded universe continuity.
I would also have to agree
with the former comment posted by Easton, I think you need to take some inspiration from the original storylines from the
old games and
comic books.
I was introduced to the world of superheroes by my uncle (the same uncle who, incidentally, had introduced me to video games)
with Batman: The Animated Series and a few of the
older comic books.
Without knowing the history, the game looked like it was pulled from a 10 - year
old's imagination and put together
with terrible dialogue and brutish warmongering driving the
comic book - like story.
The games are packed
with in - depth storylines that encompass both the Star Wars films (new and
old),
books,
comics and more.
So I surrounded myself
with old cartoons, went on a shopping trip to Japan, I went to [Tokyo retailer] Mandarake, and spent hundreds of dollars on
old anime,
comic books, and urban vinyl characters.
