Do they want to get together
with other atheists and discuss how meaningless life is and there is no higher meaning to our existence?
I am not in a club
with other atheists, they do not speak for me any more than Muslims or Hindus or other non-Christians do.
In your posts you disagree
with other atheists and you pick at semantics.
It does not require that you get together
with other Atheists to discuss your «nonbelief».
Its articles like this that make me not want to associate
with other atheists.

with others, though, who say there are far more important
atheist battles to fight, such as getting the Pledge of Allegiance back to its pre-Cold War wording.
I haven't seen this film, and so can not comment on it - but to all who lump
atheists with communists, nazis, hedonists, and every

It's very tough to go around sanctimoniously decreeing that we know the absolute, objective Truth of things, and that all

with you that some of the
atheist posters here might be overly confident, I think you'd also deal
with a little more humility.
Atheist morality is without any objective basis and, if followed
with integrity, doesn't allow them to act against
others who act contrary to their moral system (as they insist that each subjective moral judgment is equal in value, all being based purely on individual feelings).

Atheists (not all just as not all christians preach) that try to spread their beliefs to
others do so
with similar ideas of helping people free themselves from they view as mentally oppressive.

Anytime I hear an
atheist with anything
other than disinterest in religion, I hear a liar, who believes he may be wrong and is lashing out from insecurity.
Atheists are usually communist, socialist and fascist because these ideologies provides them
with a false sense of «legality» to their breaking of God's Commandments not to steal and not to covet their neighbor's house among

I think the advice of responding
with humility and perseverance can apply to
atheists (who it is often more popular to deride and dismiss than members of some
other groups, I admit) as well as theists.

Muslim, Christian, Jew, Buddhist,
Atheist, etc.... however all are American first One is not comfortable
