I was supposed to go there
with my other blogger friends, but unfortunately, our schedules didn't quite agree with our plans.
On Saturday thanks to my friend Krystel (Army Wives 101) I was able to attend the Lifetime Mom Bloggers Retreat at Townhouse Spa for manicures, pedicures and more conversation
with other blogger friends and we were also video taped discussing our favorite Lifetime shows.
I usually do
these with my other blogger friends, but my super sweet husband was on board and did a great job as a photographer... don't you think?

Other chefs and

friends Heidi Swanson of 101 Cookbooks, Sarah Britton of My New Roots, as well as Yotam Ottolenghi, all of their groundbreaking books and blogs moved vegetable based cooking on leaps and bounds and they all lead
with flavour over anything else which is how I love to cook.
But until then... you'll have to put up
with myself and
other blogger friends attempting to entice you like Katrina would!

You spend so much time online as a
blogger interacting
with other moms and dads and
friends and so seeing each
other in real life is such a joy when you can swing it.
I'm so excited to be able to officially announce the Dads4Kesem Hadrian's Wall Walk in July 2016, when I'll be joining 11
other dad
bloggers, writers, and influencers, as we walk together to raise funds for a new Camp Kesem chapter at the University of Maryland in honor of my
friend Oren Miller, who lost his battle
with cancer last year.
As for
bloggers and journalists, sometimes they'll be rivals, sometimes they'll be
friends (
with or without benefits), and sometimes they'll take cheap shots at each
other.
You're my favorite

blogger and I know we care and love each
other It's amazing to have someone
with whom you can talk daily and if we don't I miss it.
I have great
blogger friends whose ideas and thoughts inspire me, and I found solidarity
with many of them at a time when I needed it most, and now I hope some of these posts can do the same for
others.
I have been pretty swamped focusing on building up my social consulting business + designing a new site for it (stay tuned... I am perfecting the design hehe), being a boss lady ain't easy... let me tell ya haha However, one of my highlights of the long Labor Day Weekend (
other than the amazing sales) was being able to meet up
with some of my
blogger friends — I have been out of commission for a little bit since I've been drowning in work + the blog, but heading to a comedy show + some brunch was the perfect way to catch up
with some of my favorite gals!
I am off to Austin bright and early today
with two
other blogger friends for SXSW.
It may be your significant
other, your roommate, your parent, your
friend, or another local
blogger but you need to have a consistent schedule of someone who shoots
with you.

blogger friend, Jenna from NY has a kitchen she designed featured on the cover, along
with the whole story in the magazine too, so it's fun to see many
other blog
friends featured in the magazine as well.
The lovely Amy from Stylish Year was given the chance to host a Lucky Magazine Pretty Party in conjunction
with Dior, and she was sweet enough to invite me as well as a couple
other friends and local Boston
bloggers.
Also, being so close to Boston I have had the opportunity to meet and become
friends with other bloggers in the area.
This craft idea came along at the perfect time since my
friend Beth from Home Stories A to Z invited me to team up
with her and 21
other talented
bloggers for a Thrifty Under $ 50 blog hop this week.
I went
with a
friend this time and we were commenting on how you could tell the
bloggers from the
others in the crowd.

I'm excited to be teaming up today

I've seen
other bloggers as well as
friends head to tropical destinations without adequate sunscreen or
with new / fancy / organic / weird sunscreen that they hadn't previously tested on their skin.
Some of them are part of my life (my sister, my family of
friends, my university professors, ladies I collaborate
with) and
others part of me forever (my mother and grandmother); and then there are also those who I have never actually met, but make an impact all the same: inspiring food
bloggers and photographers whose work and kindness I admire and aspire to, poets and activists, comedians and writers who make me feel so damn proud to be a woman.
I had a lot of fun collaborating
with some of my
blogger buds, and I hope to do this again in the spring
with some
other friends!

other week I went to relax for the day at the Beverly Hills Hotel — commonly referred to as the «Pink Palace» —
with a couple of my
blogger friends.

other day, I was chatting
with my
friend and fellow
blogger Marlie for a special project (more details soon), when we stumbled on the topic of the beginning stages of our blogs.

Last year, I was able to take part in a
blogger collaboration to share a New Year's look
with Ada and a few
other friends.
I love linking
with other great
bloggers and the opportunity to expand blogging
friends.
After a good 6 months of feeling like my only readers were my Mom and hubby,
friends and acquaintances started commenting on my posts and
with that came suggestions to do as the
other style
bloggers do and photograph myself in the outfits I'm blogging about.
Whilst we were having fun
with the penguins we managed to meet up
with some fellow
blogger friends Clare from Emmys Mummy, Debbie from An Organised Mess, Andrea from All You Need is Love and Cake and Liz from Me and My Shadow — it was so lovely to watch all the children get to know each
other and have fun.
I've met

with so many of you (my readers and
friends!)
