Our seven month old female basset, Pixel, has been diagnosed
with panosteitis (she is 39 pounds).
Also, some dogs
with panosteitis will develop a fever and an increase in their white blood cell count.
It and the corticosteroids have the largest number of proponents, but it has been my observation that most dogs
with panosteitis do not respond to these anymore than they do to anything else.

with radiologists at Auburn University, I was told that they see tibial - tarsal OCD most predominantly in Rottweilers, a breed they also connect frequently
with OCD of the humeral head and even
panosteitis.
