I felt better when, some months later, I read Wellness Mama's account of dealing
with prodromal labor (in her sixth pregnancy, I think), and I was like, «I»M NOT CRAZY!
I just wanted to share my experience
with Prodromal Labor!
I ended up
with prodromal labor for 4 weeks, and baby was born after 24 + hours of back labor (though out in 5 pushes and water didn't break until pushing.)
If you are struggling
with prodromal labor, try to focus on the fact that even if you aren't in active labor yet, the contractions are preparing your body and may make things easier when real labor starts.
So, dealing
with prodromal labor is only going to exacerbate any negative emotions you're already feeling.

with my third and again started
prodromal labor at 36 weeks.
When I was due
with my second child, I had 4 + weeks of
prodromal labor (not that I knew what it was at the time; I called it false
labor because I'd never heard of
prodromal labor).
At my six week postpartum appointment, I asked my midwife what had happened
with my
labor, and she responded that it sounded like I've had a very intense
prodromal labor.
