Learn to thicken sauces
with sweet rice flour (at Asian groceries) and marinate using wheat free soy sauce (health food stores.)
Salty soy sauce mixed
with sweet rice wine (aka mirin) is the ideal simple base for Asian stir - fries and teriyaki sauce, but also works equally well mixed into spicy tofu crumbles, curries, and braised short ribs.
Stir the sweet potato together
with the sweet rice flour and sugar until fully combined.
What I really like about this mix is how it uses sorghum, brown rice flour, potato starch, tapioca starch along
with some sweet rice flour for balance.
You can substitute
with sweet rice flour, but the cookies won't be quite as tender.
Since buckwheat goes so well in chocolate chip cookies, I decided to use it in conjunction
with sweet rice flour, which is naturally sticky and adds chew to baked goods.

I will replace the
rice with a salad or other vegetable or alternatively replace the
sweet potato
with veg.
This blend of brown, black and red
rice with roasted
sweet potatoes, courgettes, tomatoes, sugar snap peas, spinach and pomegranates is so yum,
with a great range of flavours and textures.
For packed lunches I normally make big batches of quinoa and brown
rice with apple cider vinegar / lime and salt and then do a big thing of roasted veg — things like
sweet potato and squash cubes, so I throw a mix of that into a tupperwear
with some raw veg — things like avocado, grated carrot, tomatoes and then some hummus / lentils / chickpeas / seeds for protein.

sweet than maple / agave / coconut nectar, but it works the same.

rice is a good accompaniment to this
sweet - savory dish, but you can also serve it
with lettuce leaves for wrapping or on a bed of watercress.

While traditional sushi
rice gets seasoned
with quite a bit of sugar, I went easy on sugar here as
