In a recent collaboration
with teacher teams in kindergarten through 6th grade, some patterns emerged across the school, revealing that students needed assistance with description, pacing, and revision.
In regard to the classroom, it gives us as leaders the ability to meet students where they are and increase that
collaboration with teacher teams in order to differentiate our own needs.
Teaching Matters will directly support teacher leaders who will
work with teacher teams, provide individual coaching, and offer other supports.
We work
intensively with teacher teams, principals, building leadership teams, Superintendents, district leadership teams, and boards of education to all lead towards these focused outcomes.
We needed to
meet with teacher teams, provide them with extensive training, monitor use (repeatedly), and provide feedback, feedback, feedback.
This Field Development opportunity provided professional development, the chance to observe TAC planning in
action with teacher teams, and networking.
In addition to providing personalized instructional coaching, TDS also build capacity by facilitating collaborative planning
sessions with teacher teams and supporting campus leaders in identifying professional development priorities aligned with teacher and student needs.
