The Mi 5S smartphone launched in the second half of 2016 came
with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that is placed under the front panel of the device.
However, there is no clear information whether it will be a physical button or the virtual button
with ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

ultrasonic tech for awhile now,
with Samsung famously failing to find a workable solution for the all - screen Galaxy S8 (forcing it to place the
fingerprint sensor on the back).
Xiaomi has presumably beaten Apple to punch
with its Mi 5s phone (starting at $ 300), which integrates an
ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under its glass.
