McCurdy and Langford (2006) investigated the relationship between 1RM split squat strength and balance ability on the stork stand and
computerized wobble board tests in untrained males and females.
We also carry different types of both plastic and
wooden wobble boards which range in size and price.
Despite the fact that I
think wobble boards and bosu balls are about as useful as square wheels, there are actually two stability ball exercises that I like.
Assessing exercise technique, Mulaney et al. (2011) compared a number of exercises including the supine elastic - resisted plantarflexion exercise, unloaded seated toe - raise, standing single leg heel raise, lateral step ups, single - leg stance
on wobble board and single leg hopping.
They did not find any significant correlations between balance on the
computerized wobble board and 1RM split squat strength nor between balance scores on the stork stand and 1RM split squat strength for either the males or females.
Our normal routine included laser therapy, stretching and massage, cavalettis,
wobble board exercises, the underwater treadmill, and other exercises to do at home.
Balance board,
wobble board, or Indo Board: Typically featuring a nonslip plank atop a rubber ball or roller, these gadgets require you to make small corrections to stay balanced without letting the board tip from side to side.
Stability balls or
wobble boards are two easy ways to accomplish this.

As your balance improves or if you are already athletic, continually challenge yourself, such as by doing your balance exercises on
a wobble board or Bosu ball.
Another fun and challenging way to build balance and help develop proprioception and stability is with
a wobble board.
Try to maintain balance on
the wobble boards for at least 30 seconds and increase difficulty by closing your eyes or passing medicine balls back and forth.
Balance products such as the Bosu Ball, balance boards,
wobble boards, and others also help build core strength.

Balance on
the wobble board for as long as you can without the edges touching the floor.
Again stand on
the wobble board with one leg only.
Wobble boards are effective for improving your sense of proprioception, which is strongly linked to balance.
Stand on
the wobble board, feet shoulder width apart.
Rotate
the wobble board in a circle but do not allow the edge of the board to touch the floor.
Wobble boards are most commonly used in the rehabilitation of ankle injuries such as ankle sprains, although they should also be used for other lower leg and knee injuries.
Rotate
the wobble board round so that the edge of the board is in contact with the floor at all times.
Stand on
the wobble board with one leg.
Whilst sitting down place
the wobble board under the feet and slowly rotate it a number of times in each direction.
You can learn over 80 balance and stability exercises using a BOSU,
wobble boards, balance cushions and balance boards.
Stand on
a wobble board, bosu ball, or other unstable surface and perform a back squat.
Using other equipment: Stability ball, resistance bands,
wobble board or bosu ball (looks like half a stability ball).
Once you've mastered standing on 1 leg and basic exercises such as the 1 legged squat, you can further challenge your balance by using
a wobble board, core board, bosu ball, foam pad, or any other unstable surface.
Ideas include specific balance exercises, yoga, tai chi, stand - up paddle boarding dancing, and the use of
a wobble board or Bosu ball.

Wobble boards → A wobble board is basically a small see - saw that a person stands on.
Training on
a wobble board is great for making you better at training on a wobble board.
Let the bosu balls,
wobble boards, and stability balls at the gym collect dust.
At the time of this writing I do not use or recommend bosu balls or
wobble boards... unless of course you're training to become a professional clown.
If strength gains are stability - specific, then gains in strength in a very stable exercise set - up (such as sitting on a machine) might not transfer to strength displayed in less stable environments (such as standing on the ground), while gains in very unstable environments (such as balancing on
a wobble board) might not transfer to those in more stable environments (Willardson, 2004).

wobble boards and ladders.
