Leaving aside the manifold ways
in which stay - at - home moms are utterly crucial to their families (some of which — to be sure — can be replaced, however imperfectly, with paid labor of one sort or another), there is this: could the many institutions of our civil
society continue to function without the tireless efforts of
women who don't regularly participate
in the working world?

Men are the ones who
do most of the killing
in society and the most destructive ones too, how can you say that
women are not better than men?
I would suggest that there a social conditioning that happens where it is presumed that a
woman is a victim and a man is an opressor and I would strongly suggested taking that into account with what has influenced the poistion and view you hold, as much as you wish me to

in good shape before pregnancy and
do your part to minimally maintain your body around your growing belly, naturally - existing muscle - memory will kick
in a few months after that baby is out and you just might return closer to your pre-baby bod earlier than you thought, despite how
society seems to tell

And I think without getting too political, I think there's a real reason that moms go through this and I think it has to
do with the way
women are raised and treated

Many to most members of crunchy - mom mafia tend to identify as «feminist,» which has proven to be a remarkable shield that largely prevents observers from noticing that each new item on the must -
do list increases the burdens and demands on mothers, who already have a full plate living
in a sexist

do much to make it easier for
women raising small children.
From my perspective, and from the feedback I've received so far (
in many cases from lactation advocates and nursing mothers), the post was countering the shame that
women who choose to practice extended breastfeeding have felt
