Interestingly, it seems that only men are having serious issues with the fact that
women write and read more adult - themed material in the mainstream.
And these are the same
women writing and reading these blogs.

written» by men as better than the ones that appeared to be authored by

women are mutilated when they reach puberty, many little girls have lost their faces
and eyes on their way to school just because they are trying to learn how to
read and write, the minimal education, yet they are still punished.
Mainly, because in all the verbiage about freedoms of beliefs there is something so important, so blatantly acute yet everyone do not even mention it, except - oh genial me: Why would anyone in the whole world support any type of creed / belief / religion where a whole lot of humans — as in millions of human
women — are not allowed to go to school, to even just
read and write - less become a teacher, doctor, lawyer, president of their own companies, their own countries, mutilated by the millions when they reach puberty, WHY is this allowed?
But it thrilled me to
read smart, relevant,
and often sharp - edged essays
and reviews
written by men
and women who think faith matters: matters for our political system, matters for our culture, matters for our souls.
I am a Baptist
woman who has
read the bible
and take it for what it is: a book that was
written to be a life guide, but must be considered in the historical time that it was
written.
Unfortunately, instead of
reading the exhortation I
wrote, «Act like men — be a man of God,» some seemed to
read, «You should adhere to some cultural norm of hyper masculinity
and this verse does not apply to
women.»
Lately I've also been enjoying the prayers found in A Book of Hours by Thomas Merton
and the devotional
readings and blessings
written by Jan Richardson in In the Sanctuary of
Women.
They might be further upset to

After more than nine years as the fitness director of
Women's Health magazine, you could say Jen Ator's pretty much seen, heard,
read and written it all.
