ballot status — the right to field a candidate in any race in the state without circulating petitions — if its gubernatorial candidate
wins more than 50,000 votes in a general election.
If the party fails to
win at least 50,000 votes for its gubernatorial contenders on its
ballot line, it will both its line and its official
status — and basically all but cease to exist.
