Most of ye probably didn't support arsenal when Wenger was classed as one of the most wanted managers in Europe and was putting it up to Utd and
winning trophies every yr things are different now the moving stadium all that less whinging give it a bit of time he is starting to spend and I'm sure he will buy 1 or 2 in Jan and a few
big signings nxt summer and I hope he goes out on a high man gets ridiculed
by knobs like ye on a regular basis
players want to play for him
big star
players like his style wake up a bit as long as he is in charge the club is in good hands
not me mate, your making up you own arguements, which are flawed
by the way.So if Coquelin were to leave where would he go?According to you theory obviously it will be to another Champions league team, so are you saying they won't have legitimate competition in the team?Competition breeds winners, we havent had this at Arsenal in a long time and we still don't have it upfront and in dm, we sort of have it at CB with Gabriel, but until we correct this competition deficit in our squad with at least arguably WC
players then we won't
win the
BIG trophies as usual

Arsenal was given one of the weakest team in this CL competition.Everybody expected a
win, like
by big margin but the whole match there was no fight and desire. The game was so poor at all front last night.City and Man Utd played their hearts out even though they were defeated.Man Utd
players witnessed a horrific injury to their team mate, that will affect their focus and rhythm but they fought with desire to
win the game till the end.City were the better team than Juventus, they played really good.I have even read an article on Sky that states even though Man utd and City is defeated they still can qualify the group stage, thats how their performance were reassuring. But Arsenal were really poor from starting the game till end.Zagreb got their first
win in CL since 1999, that says it all.
Our attacking

As for the transfers, I said he could have done better, but we are starting to buy the world class
players that arsenal deserves... My point is that on the day it's arsenals 11 against the opposition 11, and it's up to the
players to get the
win... Wenger plays a
big part in the tactics and formations yes... However ultimately it's down to the
players to come up with the result... I think the
players get away with poor performances too lightly as wenger gets the brunt of the criticism, ultimately it was a poor performance
by the
players yesterday not
by wenger
i think this could officially be the start of the end for wenger his blind arrogance has cause him to buy welbeck in the sheer belief that AGAINST THE ODDS HE CAN BEAT THE REST OF THE
BIG 4 WITH ONE ARM BEHIND HIS BACK we should be buying top top top european c / l standard
players not sunderland spuds everton standard
players thats about welbecks standard of club in all truthful reality he is an honest hard working
player but wenger thinks he can coach the mediocrity out of him he is truely insane its a guaranteed source of goals we need not more fancy hold up play and «pace» and missing chance after chance so the postman is to be joined
by the manchester metro tram absolute disgrace he has kidded on ozil and sanchez they must be wondering what is going on atm they are seeing the true wenger now just panicking and not panicking very well to that effect and for some reason wenger has gone all kinky for english
players for some strange reason at least chambers has great potential welbeck has past that stage and is a seasoned pro now and he is no where near what we need wenger is trying to show how great he is
by whiping the back out of the same
players week after week in the vain hope that he can
win the league without rotating ever and they will get injured and he wont have learned his lesson and we will pay for it in the end best last day transfer would have been a 4 year contract for klopp

It really felt like a turning point and if Tottenham can help us out
by at least stopping Chelsea from

big problems in recent years, really is there.
Sorry to get u guys upset but AW ain't signing any

They came here to

After game we will all be on here saying the same thing as we do when we get beaten
by all the
big clubs those who think we can get a result are totally deluded we do not have a prayer they will expose all our weaknesses and
win the game comfortably then u can all start the moaning about Wenger the team certain
players just face facts we are not good enough!!
No Arsenal supporter WANTS to finish fourth and to argue otherwise is simply another lie that the AOBs / AAAs deploy on a regular basis, myth masquerading as fact — we are a fan - base divided
by those who imagine they have all the answers (and if it was really that simple ie: get new owners, spend
big, simply pick up the phone and buy any
player we want and hire the fad manager of the moment — then every team would be
winning the PL and UCL every year and we know that can't happen don't we) and those who think it is a bit more complicated than that.
England as a nation don't produce
players of good quality, no matter who they picked they don't have the class to
win tournaments anyway and it's no wonder English
players are not wanted
by Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich heck even in the
big EPL clubs like Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea they aren't starters but just there for quota requirements
Was Sanchez nt in team dat got thrash
by Munich, was Sanchez nt in team dat drop out of the top 4, was Sanchez not in d team wen the likes of Leicester
won the league so wat makes u so sure dat without him, arsenal
won't finish well... no
Player is
bigger than the club, even on his best form, d guy can't boss the likes of Barcelona n Co, d way he bosses arsenal around, if he want to leave den arsenal should just let him go after all wen the likes of Vieira, Henry, fabregas, Nasir, Van Persie left we didn't went into oblivion, we still standing and one of the
biggest club in Europe.
I can only hope that this attempt is taken more seriously than the largely muted and clearly unsuccessful protests of late last season... although the plane writing escapade brought some much - needed attention to the matter, it failed to resonate with fence - sitters and those who had just recently fell off the Wenger truck... without a
big enough showing of support the whole endeavor appeared relatively weak and poorly organized, especially to the major media outlets, whose involvement could have significantly changed what was to follow... but I get it, few wanted to turn on their club, let alone make a public display of their discord... problem is, they are preying on that vulnerability, in fact, their counting on you to keep your thoughts to yourself... who are you to tell these fat cats how to steal your money... they have worked long and hard to pull the wool over your eyes... they even went so far as to pay enormous sums of cash to your once beloved professor to be their corporate spokesmodel so that the whole thing would be more palatable... eventually the club made it appear as if this was simply a relatively small fringe group of highly radicalized supporters, which allowed the pro-Wenger element inside the club hierarchy to claim victory following the FA Cup
win... unfortunately what has happened to this club can't be solved
by FA Cups or a few
players coming in, the very culture of this club needs to be changed and that starts at the top... in order to change the unhealthy and dysfunctional narrative that has absorbed this club we need to remove everyone who presently occupies a position of power... only then can we get back to the business of playing championship caliber football, which should always be the number one priority of this organization... on an important side note, one of the most devastating mistakes made in the final days of this hectic and poorly planned transfer window didn't have to do with the
big name
players like Sanchez or Lemar, but the fact that they failed to secure Jadon Sancho, who might even start for Dortmund this season... I think they might seriously regret this oversight... instead of spending so much time, energy and manpower pretending that they were desperately trying to make
big moves, they once again lost the plot due to their all too familiar tunnel vision
there is some suggestion that wenger is backtracking on his fervent stance regarding what
players would be staying at the club for the remainder of the season... some might deduce that this is all part of a much
bigger, more elaborate plan...
by shifting the blame wenger is attempting to, not so slyly, flip the narrative...
by doing so he hopes to evoke empathy from his most ardent supporters, while attempting to rally any fence - sitters, whose faith was waning unless a more legitimate agent of blame emerges... unfortunately, and incredibly insulting to the fans, when wenger attempts to spin a tale and / or tries to eat his own words, he doesn't seem to play it all the way through in his head, so invariably gaping holes emerge... say we believed his version of the truth, would that not make him either an incredibly well - paid custodian of destruction or a spineless jellyfish because what manager worth his weight in salt would stay at a club that didn't give him final say after 20 years of supposed «success»... no matter the answer, neither bodes well for us... how ironic, in a way, since many pundits claim this team has lacked a «spine» for some years now... so whether we
win, lose or draw on Sunday is frankly immaterial, as the problems will remain, and although it will be easier to digest if we left the Pool with 3 points, it might just be the worst result for the betterment of this club... a fact that both breaks my heart and baffles the mind
Now I think there is still reasons to be cheerful, I agree Man C & Chelski have spent & bought some good
players, we all understand that 5 of those teams might be in the CL proper which is a huge distraction for those 4 - 5 teams.Chelsea will not be able to field the same 13 - 14
players all season, as for Man C they were very frail at the back last season, add to that 2 flying wing backs and I'm not sure they will be any better this coming season.LFC will most probably have CL as well if they qualify and haven't exactly bought great
players apart from Salah who could be a good aquasistion for them.Spuds have sold a good
player & strengthened a rival & still not bought a single
player yet, Man U have bought 2 good
players & in Lukaku have a proven goal scorer in the PL but if they play the same dour way they did last season & with the added games the CL brings will they perform week in week out in the league??? As for Everton yes they have released a lot of
players and also brought in a lot too to give better quality in the squad as they have Europa league the same as US the
big difference is I think we will play squad
players & youngsters maybe with a few senior
players all the way up to the QF This tells me most of our rivals will pave the way for us to field pretty much the same side every weekend in the PL thus giving us an advantage over all the other 5 teams playing in the CL & Europa, just remember the League has been
won in the last 2 seasons
by teams NOT in Europe YES we are this season but I think Wenger will put all his eggs in the League basket and field an under strength side in all comps hence focusing on the League until we are no longer in the race.
We need all our
players this is a
big game, don't know if wenger will play Alexis and bench wellbeck, but whoever starts need to justify it
by playing well, we might get thrashed or
win the game, thing is with arsenal you never know, I hope we
win though..
The camp is led
by 15 seniors who have
won a combined 12 gold medals with the program,
players either already committed to play
big - time college basketball or currently choosing between offers.
The only way we could
win the group is
by PSJ loosing We have qualified to the next round so in essence we only need to beat our opponents in the next round so yes I would personally use different
players to give them experience but the team most be a well balanced team cause we do not want to embarrass ourselves with a
big loss
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no better position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed
by the acquisition of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean
by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state of affairs on a position -
by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to get rid of for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy of our time and / or investment, as such we should get rid of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get rid of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to get that
player into the fold without any of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special
players and certainly can't help make the
player in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper
players in the final third... he was never a good defensive
player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to get rid of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a
player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated
by this club since the arrival of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a
big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand
players of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to
win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking in... so don't blame those
players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet of those who were well aware all along of the potential pitfalls of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
As reported
by Metro, when Aubameyang scored twice to help us to a vital
win over Stoke City, he became the first Arsenal
player in Premier League history to score five goals in his first six games, beating some
big names including the great Thierry Henry
by doing so.
But let me just state that yes Ozil had a bad game, but its been more than one game now and the couch has to make a bold decision as we have
players on our bench who could make a
bigger impact and
win us games, e.g. Carzola / TR7 / or Ox would have
won us that game or the previous game had the couch either brought in or subbed Ozil
by the 60 minute mark.
of course, i get frustrated at the fact we buy 1 decent
player and then all the pressure sits on their shoulders i feel for sanchez every game he works his arse off and he looks like he annoyed
by some of the other
players who ai nt up to it we have a decent squad but we need 1st team cdm and a striker and a decent cb, look at bayern benatia, boateng, martinez, dante all being played at cb but our only decent cb is kos, its not good enough i like mert but he ai nt gonna help us
win the league, would love arsene to finish this season with at least 1 more trophy and then try bring in pep guardiola he's the only manager similar to arsenal's style but i think he would need a promise from the board for
big funds
I think we deserve to
win the PL and UCL every other year (every year would just be greedy), we just need to get bought out
by big oil money, sack the board, build another 2 tiers on the Emirates to get us up to 85,000 capacity, sack Wenger and appoint Klopp / Simone / Koeman (whoever is doing best at the time), sell the entire squad and start again but 25 world class
players and nothing less.
Finally A
big special man of the match performance from our
player of the season Alex — if there was a title for his effort alone we would
win the prem, but I'm still purring after his display to first ride the challenge after his 1 - 2 and scoring from an acute angle surrounded
by 3
players..
Why would they mess with this system
by being as silly as to attempt to
win the premier league
by buying in
big money huge wage bill
players who... just might not return thier investment immediatly....
Doubt it's gonna happen, no more marquee signings, not enough ambition, the amount of money we had and we brought one proven, quality
player in for 33milliom, then two right backs and a backup goalie... Hmm... Not good enough if you ask me, I love the look of Chambers and Debuchy looks okay and Ospina ain't even played yet, that's not good enough if you ask me, if we had true ambition, we would have gone all out for Khedira and someone like Reus or Cavani, we need to aim high but once again, I feel let down
by Wenger and I can not see us
winning another trophy this season unless something
big happens within the next two days I'm afraid.
