your wonderful little lemon poppy seed muffins and they were devoured... and I mean devoured by my kids!

Of course, the super thin sliced Meyer
lemons, coated in sugar and oven roasted to carmelize and candify (yes I just made up the word candify, apologizes to the word police), made for a
wonderful decorative topping to the muffin as well as added a
little extra sweet top spot to the muffin.
The taste was
wonderful, however I think my
lemon topping was still a
little bit under cook as it is very sticky and it falls apart easily.
It's a
wonderful combo that makes a great instant dressing with a
little lemon and black pepper.
In the summer I put
little pieces of
lemon and lime peel in the garbage disposal... it smells
wonderful.
This time of year I fill a small saucepan with orange &
lemon rinds, a sprinkle of cinnamon, add a
little bit of water — set on low and soon the
wonderful «fallish» scent fills the air!
