As an art student experimenting with printmaking, Alyse Rosner that, in woodcut
printing, the directness of
cutting the block and the intrinsic beauty of the
wood seduced her.
On view are
prints, mostly from the last 15 years, some unique oil paintings on
wood from the Small Paintings series and
cut - outs.
In the paper
print of this wooden matrix,
cuts become lines and woodgrain becomes shading, with the
wood's textural variations now transformed into the stark contrast of a black
print on white paper.
Working in a range of mediums such as digital animation, slide projections, light boxes, paper

wood sculptures, Ezawa maintains a keen awareness of how images shape our experience and memory of events.

By the end of the course, participants will have learnt how to prepare,
